I thought I would check out the new forum for posting up rods. This is a rod I just finished for a customer. I normally don't post these...just my Concept rods...
7' FTU Green rod with micro spirals (shocker huh) and an ACSM seat. Something I did differently was to use brown Hypalon for the grip...he fishes around the jetties alot and I think this grip will be more comfortable with the bigger fish. I did a burnt Burl Butt
The split grip area came out cool as I used a decal, then marbled around the edges to hide them....I also posted a pic of the decal (I printed it on the Gold Paper) that went on so you can get an idea of what it looked like without the marbling...I used a fade wrap on the edges with with dark green metallic and trimar.
The Green background photos were taken to show the gold metalflake highlights that reflect in the sun. The green lettering on the gold paper looks exactly the same color as the green rod...so it looks like rod showing through when its not..

To me this is our own little lounge where we can relax and be a little more personal here than in the larger arenas...I will still post in the bigger ones...but I like this one! biggrin

Very cool colour combo Terry.
Your concept stuff always blows us away and your "ordinary builds" are top shelf too.

Maybe I'm old school, but I just can't take to those reel seats.
Do they really make that much difference to the rods handling?
Maybe they'll grow on me.
